Competitive Analysis

Companies are finding it increasingly difficult to respond to the increased pace of change in globally competitive markets. SIM’s Competitive Intelligence Program provides the requisite tools to develop, maintain, and strengthen competitive advantage.

Competitive Intelligence: The collection and analysis of public information to paint a picture of a company’s competitors, customers, prospects, market or industry. Unlike its dark sister espionage, CI is completely legal and ethical.

Competitor Intelligence: Competitor Intelligence is the refined process of information gathering and analysis of that information pertaining to a specific competitor.

SIM offers Competitive Intelligence solutions in the following areas:

Competitor Benchmarking: SIM benchmarks the company against the nearest competitor or several competitors using pre-defined parameters. This is performed in both primary and secondary intelligence. 

Competitor Monitoring: Regular monitoring of specific competitor(s) is performed both through primary and secondary intelligence.  SIM will utilize academic channels as well to fulfill requirements of this program.

Counter Intelligence: SIM assist companies in the protection of intelligence collection activities.  SIM implements a protection process that safeguards plans, programs, and projects from competitors.  Counter measures are introduced to neutralize competitor intelligence activities.
