Mr.
Sweeney brings thirty years of successful organizational
management to the SIM operation. His entrepreneurial
experience includes sales, executive sales management,
sales training and motivation, P&L responsibilities,
marketing and branding strategies, and contract
negotiations. Sweeney also has worked with leading IT
service companies in North America and such offshore
service providers as Intelligroup, Tata Consultancy
Services, IMR Global , RS Software, Deloitte Haskins +
Sells, and General Signal. For ten years he was
involved in an entrepreneurial enterprise with McDonald,
Sampson, Sweeney & Co. Atlanta GA.
Prior to the co-founding of SIM, LLC, Gene was the Vice
President for the Southern Region with Intelligroup,
where he literally built a new sales team and a Go To
Market Strategy for the thirteen (13) states within
the region, focusing on the ERP space, i.e., SAP, Oracle
and PeopleSoft. Gene later became the Vice President of
Global Outsourcing Services at Intelligroup, where he
played a key role in the sales execution plan, resulting
in the generation of multi-millions of dollars in
revenue from the Fortune 1000. Gene was the driving
force in implementing the concept of Sales Intelligence
(SI) and Competitive Intelligence (CI) into the Sales
Cycle Process within Intelligroup.
At
TATA Consulting Services (TCS-America), Asia's largest
IT Consulting firm, Mr. Sweeney held the title of Head
of Sales North America. Mr. Sweeney institutionalized
the Sales Management Team (SMT). He was instrumental in
implementing the Sales Execution Plan for Business
Development of New Account Acquisition of Fortune
500/1000 companies in North America. Under Gene�s
direction, the Sales Management Team (SMT) provided
vital and crucial guidance to the TCS-America Sales
Force which resulted in closing large scale multi-year
Offshore IT Outsourcing contracts throughout North
America.
He
began his entrepreneurial career at McDonalds, Sampson,
Sweeney & Co. in Atlanta, GA in 1983. He provided
senior management with impartial and economic recovery
and security solutions that met specific needs and
concerns to operational organizational issues. The
firm, McDonald, Sampson and Sweeney was sold to a major
US provider of disaster recovery and contingency
planning services in 1992.
Mr.
Sweeney received an MBA in International Business and
Finance from New York University in 1972 and a BS in
Communications at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton
School in 1969. He served honorably in the United
States Air Force from 1962 to 1966 on active duty,
assigned to the Office of Special Investigation (OSI).
